The ASA's new National Football Competition, called the Hyundai A-League, was launched the 1st November 2004. The member clubs are Adelaide United FC, Central Coast Mariners FC (Gosford), Football Kingz (Auckland NZ), Queensland Lions SC (Brisbane), Melbourne Victory SC, Newcastle United FC, Perth Glory SC, and Sydney FC.
