Formerly known as the Utah Starzz (1997-2002), the Silver Stars were purchased by the Spurs organization and moved to San Antonio for the 2003 season. The team is in the Western Conference and plays at SBC Center in San Antonio, TX. The Starzz were a founding team of the WNBA and reached the Western Conference finals in the 2002 playoffs.
