Zara Yacob

Zara Yacob, b. 1592. Leading thinker of the Ethiopian Enlightenment who emphasized the importance of clear thinking. His name is variously spelled in the Roman alphabet; some common variations are Zara Yaqob, Zara Yaquob and Zera Yakob.
