Assisted Suicide

"Assisted suicide" or "physician assisted suicide" generally refer to the process by which a mentally competent, terminally ill individual uses a lethal dose of medication, prescribed by a physician, to hasten his or her death. It is legal in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the state of Oregon.
