The region of Patagonia extends from the foothills of the Andes to Tiera del Fuego at the southern tip of South America and encompasses much of Chile and Argentina. This category is intended for sites on the indigenous populations of the region, the Mapuche being the largest group but also including the Tehuelches, Ona, Pehuenche, Querandís and Araucanians, among others.
