Masada

  ( 5 )
This category is for sites or pages related to the events ending the siege of Masada in the Jewish Wars of 68-74 A.D. The historian Flavius Josephus tells how the besieged Jews agreed upon, and implemented, a mass suicide pact. He was obviously not an eyewitness; modern historians and archaeologists have varying ideas about how accurate his account was.
