Intercultural communication is the study of how people or organizations communicate cross cultures or national boundaries. Global communication refers more generally to problems in communication outside the western societies where the field of communication studies originated. Both fields can overlap with interpersonal and group communication, as well as with rhetorical theory and criticism.
