Morning sickness, also known as nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (NVP) is a common condition. It usually occurs between the 4th and the 12th week of pregnancy. It is believed that between 50 and 80% of pregnant women suffer from this condition. A more severe form of NVP is called Hyperemesis Gravidarum and affects between 1% to 3% of all women during pregnancy.
