Vendor Alert Subscriptions

You should be on the security-alert mailing list of the vendor of every operating system you admin. Typically these are extremely low-volume mailing lists, and applying the security patches they recommend is frequently urgent if your machine is connected to the internet.

2. NetBSD - Security mailing list subscription.
3. Adobe - Security alert notification service.
4. Apache - Apache Week, includes security alerts.
5. Debian: Security Announcements - Security announce mailing list for Debian Linux.
6. Gentoo Linux - List of security announcements and information on how to sign up to security mailing list.
7. HP - Subscribe to HP Security Bulletins. Requires registration.
8. OpenBSD - All OpenBSD mailing lists, including security alerts.
9. Oracle - Oracle security mailing list. Requires registration.
10. Red Hat Linux - Notifications and advisories. Security mailing list subscription is on this page.
11. SGI - SGI® Security Advisory mailing list.
12. Sun Security Information - Includes subscription instructions for the Sun security-alert mailing list. Subscribe to this list to be alerted when security patches are released. Very low volume.
13. SuSE Linux - All SuSE Linux mailing lists, including security alerts.
