Dervla Kirwan - Irish actress, born 24th October 1971, Churchtown, Dublin, Ireland. Her television career started when she was 18 - she appeared in the controversial TV version of Melvyn Bragg's novel A Time to Dance (1992). Dervla's true break came when she first appeared as Assumpta Fitzgerald in Ballykissangel (1996), for which she won a National Television Award for 'Most Popular Actress'.
