Whoopi Goldberg was born on November 13, 1949, in New York City, as Caryn E. Johnson. Caryn had one older brother, Clyde Whoopi Goldberg played Guinan on Star Trek: the Next Generation. Whoopi has also starred in such motion pictures as The Color Purple, Jumpin' Jack Flash, Burglar, Fatal Beauty, Clara's Heart, Ghost, The Long Walk Home, Soapdish and Robert Altman's The Player.
