Larkin, Philip

Philip Larkin (1922-1985), English poet famous for his witty and often deeply pessimistic verse. Larkin's poems are usually written in established poetic forms, using common language. His most famous poems are "The Whitsun Weddings," "Aubade" and "Church Going."
