Auden, W. H.

W.H. Auden (1907-73), British-American poet, renowned for his skill with a range of poetic forms. Auden is best known as a political poet, but his vast output is by no means limited to political poetry. His most famous poems are "Funeral Blues", "September 1, 1939", "In Memory of W.B. Yeats" and "Musee des Beaux Arts".
